putting the fun back into shopping.
Voted Toronto’s Best Flea Market for the
past seven years by the Etobicoke Guardian and North York
Mirror, Dr. Flea’s Flea Market is the largest indoor
flea market in Toronto and has been a fixture to the community
at Highway 27 and Albion Road for 20 years.
More than 20 thousand people celebrated Dr.
Fleas 20th anniversary last Sunday.
“It was a rounding success,” said
Allen Koffman, President, CEO, and Dr. Flea.
Koffman said over 240 prizes were given away,
including satellite dishes, diamond rings, shopping sprees,
loot bags, and 20th anniversary caps, calendars and pens.
The festivities had the works, with clowns, balloons, and
cake.
Koffman founded Dr. Flea’s Flea Market
in 1987. After seeing two young men running a flea market
poorly and treating vendors with little respect, he wanted
to try out the business and change the way vendors were treated.
“The name Dr. Fleas comes from my mother
wanting me to become a lawyer or doctor,” said Koffman.“So
I became a doctor of flea markets.”
Since then, more than 10 million people have
visited the market to take advantage of the incredible deals.
The market has free admission and free parking.
Open Saturday and Sunday from 10-5 p.m., the market also has
fresh foods, including baked goods, deli meats, chocolates
and cakes, and International foods.
Come and see what over 10 million happy customers
